This is supposed to be a utility chest, but it makes a GREAT men's jewelry chest. Hardware is better than you'd expect for this price, and cabinetry work on the wood (and finish) are quite good.Customer Review: better than expected

I found the overall quality to be better than I expected for the price. I replaced the clasps and the top corner brass pieces.
This is not a Gerstner (sp?) but those are not $400 better than these.

This chest is the perfect size for craft supplies. I use mine to store my
paint brushes. It makes it easy to grab the one I need. I also store my
beading tools, wire and other beading supplies. The felt in the bottom of
the drawers is great, it keep thing from sliding around when you open and
close the drawer. It also is a very nice looking chest. It looks very nice
in my craft room. I would recommend this chest to anyone for their crafts
supplies. I don't do scrapbooks but my friends that do say they are going
to get one,they think it would work great for their scrapbooking supplies. I ordered mine online which was easy and it was delivered I thought in record time. So get yours ordered you'll love it.

These are great for storing small items but beware that if you use them to store silver they will coat and tarnish yellow from the lacquer used to seal the wood. They are nicely made otherwise.

Don't waste your money on one of those chests that cost 3x what the Sisco MTV7 Solid Hardwood Utility Chest costs. The Sisco looks great and is well-put-together. Other than the drawers not having stops to keep them from falling out, and fitting a trifle loosely in their guides, this is a quality-constructed chest. Great for lots of things, and if you're a marble collector like I am, you can store all your little round treasures in this chest, for convenient viewing!
