Let me say first of all this is a great product.I bought two of these for my outside lights and they work every time.It is an under statement to say that i have tried several other brands and they all stopped working in two days.I almost gave up and went to timers but i like to control my lights.I am so happy that amazon is selling this product and it really works.I am going to buy another one with channel B so i can control my fire place blower fan,and yes i checked to make sure it would handle the amperage.To sum it up the remotes work great and the controlers are made well.Thanks Amazon !Customer Review: Great Remote at a Great Price!

This is a _very_ functional unit. I have the Skylink plugged into an outlet within my outdoor metal generator housing! for use as an on/off switch for a wireless camera system. The Skylink is 40' away from my window and with the blinds closed and works perfectly! My only two minor complaints are the plug wire from the base unit is only about 3 inches long and there is no LED on/off light indicator on the base unit. They claim 100' range but that probably would need line of sight. This unit does have -22 degree low temp operating range, we'll see this winter! The remote control works quite well even around corners. Note you can order either the "A" or "B" frequency control pair --so you can have 2 separate installations in the same proximity. It would be nice however it they'd throw in an extra hand-held unit with each control --sort of like having a spare key or, in my case, needing to control the same device from 2 different locations and not wanting to have to carry the remote around all the time. I could buy another set, but that seems kind of extravagant. All in all, this seems like a well built device, and I'm very happy with it.Customer Review: Forget Radio Shack buy this item

I have several waterfalls in my yard and control them with this remote control. I have used several wireless switches over the years and this is the best one. Don't pay more as this is a quality well built device. Cheaper models I've tried would randomly turn on and off or quit working entirely. If you need to control more than one item please note there is a channel A and channel B model, get one of each for independent control. To avoid water infiltration the item must be hung vertically as depicted in the instructions and as noted by other reviewers.

I bought this wireless remote device for my holiday lights and the first night I put it on it worked just fine...until the next night after a rain filled day. The day after that it would not work at all and when I removed it a lot of a wet black substance like ink ran from the electric plug part of the unit. It was plugged in during the storm and in the proper position so I don't know how the liquid got in the unit. In addition to that there is no on off marking on the remote unit so you have to guess and hope it turns on/off when you press it.
