Am using this to control a water feature in our back yard. The usual distance between the unit and the remote control is 40-50 feet. I installed the base unit in a large PVC junction box so the rain would not directly hit it. The remote works most of the time. At first, the remote worked only after multiple tries. I then replaced the battery in the remote thinking that the original battery could be weak. The performance is much better with a fresh battery. This is a slick trick - and after 2 months of daily use, it is working well.Customer Review: skylink works great!

This product works great! I bought it for my fountain which is at the very back of the yard and is hard to get to. I used to have to go out and plug it in when i wanted to run it which was a real pain. Now that I have this I can turn it on and off from inside the house! I am using it at a distance of about 40 yards. You need to have it be in a line of site for it to work. The reason that I only gave it 4 stars is that the cord is very short on the unit. It would be nice if it was a few feet long.Customer Review: Channel A or Channel B??

This is a great item, but the manufacturer produces two of these. Each one operates on a different signal and Amazon isn't letting you know which one you're getting. If you order two, you may even get both for all you know. That might be fine for how you want to use them, but I want one to match what I already have. I'd like to know or be given a choice. I bought the package of 2 remote receivers and 2 remote controllers. The units installed easily and the everything works perfectly. But....... To my great annoyance both receivers and both controllers all work off the same signal! So when I turn on upper porch lights, the lower porch lights also come on, and vice versa. The URL for the company website is disconnected, so I am unsure what to do. Good quality product, but very silly design from my point of view.Customer Review: Nearly perfect for my application

I purchased this product to enable me to cut off power to my garage door opener (while we're traveling) without pulling out a ladder and unplugging the opener's electrical cord. It works like a charm. Has only a small drawback: in an electrical storm, power fluctuations can cause the power to the opener to cut off when I don't want it to . . . but this is a minor irritation. The remote makes it easy to reset the power.
