Tools and Hardware Reviews of Skylink WT-433 Window/Door SensorCustomer Review: Simple install - worked as advertised Summary: 4 Stars
Install was straight forward. The door where this item was installed used both of the provided spacers to bring the magnet in line with the switch. The only problem was when I encountered a metal door jamb the screws provided broke under what I thought to be only minor force. But after the holes were opened a little more and other screws selected, install went correctly.
Customer Review: Great addition Summary: 5 Stars
This product is extremely easy to add onto the great Skylink Security System. No problems whatsoever, and seems a good quality. Like several have commented, the 2 sided tape is quite weak, but is only designed to be temporary. I bought some heavy-duty 2-sided tape to use instead of drilling more holes in my wall. Great product overall.
Customer Review: Works well, but UGLY Summary: 2 Stars
This thing works well, but stands out like a sore thumb. It's big, bulky, and archaic. They could have made it much more compact and streamlined, like other company's sensors are. This has a separate old style wired magnet sensor, and the wire runs to the transmitter. So you have to mount three pieces, instead of two.
Customer Review: Works like it should. Easy to install. Summary: 5 Stars
These door sensors have worked perfectly. They were very easy to install. The red light flashes when the sensor is tripped (by opening the door). Even though I haven't needed to replace any batteries yet (2 months so far), the 12v 23A battery is very easy to replace and easy to find for less on ebay.
Customer Review: Works as described Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased a couple of these to supplement my Skylink System. They work well. Please note that the tape doesn't stick for long though. Seems that the opening/closing of windows loosens the tape. Use screws to secure and you will be ok. No performance issues yet and I've had them for about a year.
