Customer Review: The worst quality!

We've owned three of these hunks of [substandard] plastic. And they have all broken! First one leaked water everywhere and was sent back. ...we received a new unit. ... another one which also ended up broken after less than a full season. Now we were using the replacement unit and turning it on for the first time the second season, the power switch broke. I fixed it myself and found that the power switch was made of the [most substandard] plastic ever, and just snapped broken. ...Customer Review: Unreliable

We have had three Slant Fin dehumidifiers. Though they are quiet and do the job, they are not very reliable. One of them just stopped working though it was not very old. The other one was running and spontaneously began to leak water all over the floor. This could have caused major problems because, as I said, it was plugged into the outlet as water started to gush all around it. The company replaced it, and the third one worked for only a few months. Stay away from Slant Fin.Customer Review: buy this humidifier

This really is a fantastic humidifier. I never write reviews, but read the excellent reviews for the Slant Fin humidifier and am glad I did - it is a very good product - so I am writing this review. It is extremely quiet, easy to clean, worth the money, and much better than my old humidifier which left white dust. Yes, I admit it - I am passionate about a humidifier. Just be sure to order extra absorbtion pads with it - they are very easy to change.Customer Review: puddle on the floor

I had high expectations for this unit because so many people said it was the best. After it ran for a few hours I saw a puddle of water under it and spreading out across the floor and soaking the carpet. I changed the water, reset the unit in a shallow tray and tried again. Within hours the puddle of water that came out overflowed the tray. I shipped it back the next day and will not take a chance on another one.Customer Review: Those With Good Ears Need Not Apply

I chose this unit mainly because I had read that it was quiet. If you're looking for a bedroom application, forget it. This thing gurgles continuously, and is actually quit obnoxious while you're laying in bed trying to get to sleep. I finally got up and shut it off. This "con" (along with it being kind of pricey) makes any "pros" irrelevent as far as I'm concerned, so I have nothing good to say about the item.
