This pillow is larger than most - much wider, and a little taller, but significantly the gusseting allows you to rest comfortably on the edge with good support. The cover material really does keep the pillow cool - compensating perhaps for any warming effects from memory foam(?). I bought it for me, but my wife loved it so much that I decided to try the contour pillow, which better suited my 6' 2" (200 lb) frame and wide shoulder with much denser foam and a shape that is taller but less wide.
The gusseted pillow is better than the contour because is feels more like a natural pillow with amazing support. We love them both - you choose which one is better for you!

I have used the sleep Better Iso-cool Memory foam pillow with gussetted side sleeper for a little over a month and I HAVE been sleeping better- no stiff neck! I am 5'6" and weigh 130 lbs and I can comfortably sleep either on my side or on my back ( I actually sleep more on my back). I've had neck problems for years and have used several types of orthopedic pillows but this one works the best and has the shortest "break-in" time. Because it's memory foam and has a standard pillow shape, I can move from side to back without adjusting the pillow at all. The gussetted sides give the pillow enough rise to also prevent a stiff neck. It's definitely five star.Customer Review: BEST PILLOW

Being 33 years old I have had a lot of pillows in my lifetime. But this pillow beats any pillow I have ever owned. Its incredibly comfortable. And at first I couldn't believe that a pillow would stay cool while you slept. I have had the pillow for 3 nights of sleep now and I can't believe how wonderful it is. I don't wake up with sweaty hair like I do with other pillows. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a luxurious pillow. I was concerned when i read that it was for side sleepers, cause i'm a belly sleeper. But it works great and i don't wake up with a stiff neck or have to fluff the pillow in the middle of the night.Customer Review: Keep cool? yes and no...

If you're expecting a pillow to 'wick' away your heat to keep your head cool you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a pillow that contours to your head without 'swallowing' it up you'll be pleased. If you're expecting a soft 'plushy' pillow you'll be disappointed since it is 'giving' but not like other foam pillows.
It does keep your head cool but it does this like any other pillow - you turn it over.
I'm pleased with it since getting it a month or two ago. It replaced a memory foam pillow that had the concave center. That other pillow was too short in width. This pillow is about 'queen' size in width so it's nice and wide.

I've been in search of a good pillow for my neck pain for years. I've been buying new pillows every 4-6 months without ever finding one that was everything I needed. A lot of pillows aren't really meant for side sleepers. Other memory foam pillows are too hard or shaped weird. The Iso-Cool memory foam pillow looks exactly like it does in the picture on Amazon. It fits perfectly into my pillow case without looking out of place or weirdly shaped on my bed. It's very supportive yet not too stiff, I can still snuggle into my pillow. It also didn't get hot even during the summer heatwave we just had. I'm very happy with the Iso-Cool pillow.
