Customer Review: Soft, Thick, and Comfortable

I bought this topper after returning to Iraq a few months ago. The beds here are singles and VERY hard. I have had one of these before that I bought from JCP a few years ago and it lasted until last year when I gave it away.
This year I decided to try a different kind and bought this one because of the ventilation.
When taking it out of the bag and unwrapping it, it had the normal memory foam smell that they all have. It did not take long for it to expand to its normal size and I only aired it out for about 6 hours before putting it on the bed.
PROS:
* 2 inches is perfect. Deep enough to conform to my full figured body without being over soft. Just a perfect medium between too hard and too soft.
* Ventilation works. I actually had to throw a blanket over the sheet to help keep me warm this winter because the mattress topper kept me cool underneath. A good thing for those that get hot at night, I am not one of them. However, I'm hoping that this will do the same thing in the summer and keep the body at a good temperature.
CONS:
* Does not fit the twin bed completely. There is about a half inch gap on each side and several inches on the top and bottom. HOWEVER, the bed I am on might be one of those twin XLs or something. I'm not sure of the exact size. I would measure your mattress though if you want this to go all the way to the ends. Come to think of it, none of the memory foam toppers I've ever had fully fit the bed.
* It moves. For some reason this does not stay in place. I sit on the end of my bed a lot and slide out of it in the morning and the topper always seems to move, sheet and all. Maybe there is away to attach it to the mattress or use the sheet stays and see if that works?
Neither of the cons are deal breakers for me but because of these is why I only gave it 4 stars.
I would recommend this product. I'm not a heavy sweater but I think that it would work for one.
