I couldn't find anything like this locally. These risers (not gliders or sliders) are made from a hard plastic with a hard rubbery type o-ring. Note that these are 2" in diameter and raise your furniture by 1". I put these under my kitchen table on a vinyl floor; the table does not move and the 1" extra height is really noticeable. To be honest, I thought these were 2" tall (and the description was wrong), but that would have been overkill. I imagine these will last the life of the table. I'd buy them again, but there is no need. I only gave them 4-stars because I couldn't bring myself to say that I loved furniture risers. ;o)
