Customer Review: Don't get one for a Samsung HD TV

I purchased this Smart Strip so that game systems, etc would turn off when I turned off my Samsung TV.
The TV seems to go to such a low power state during simple activities, like if the screen is black, or when switching inputs, that the power strip thinks that it's turning off...
This becomes an even bigger problem, because the Samsung doesn't recognize an input unless it is receiving a signal...so if the machine turns off when you try to switch to it, you can't get to the right input for it.
Complicated, but makes the purchase completely worthless. Mostly the TV's fault, but the packaging claims that it works with ALL audio/video set ups, and that just isn't true.

Purchased 3 units. The first was hooked up to the entertainment center and no matter how much I tweaked the calibration, it would not consistently power down the slave outlets. Even tried another device in the entertainment center as a control unit, but it wouldn't work dependably (power remained live on the outlets).
For my computer workstation, the control unit (computer) would successfully power down the slave outlets. However, after a period of time I would look in my office and see all three monitors had their orange Standby light on again. The strip would at some point re-power the slave outlets even though the control unit was still powered down.
Returned All Three Strips.

This smart strip LCG3 has done everything that it has promised. I have tested it and used it in all three areas of my apartment from the Tv with all the gadget like PS3, amplifier/tuner and subwoofer. It shutdown the power and reduces my energy comsumption greatly. If you think about it most of us sleep for 8 hours and are away from home at least 9 hour a day that is 15 hours of energy your burning without u even being around to notice. Not only will it help me be green, but it is saving me a TON of green. Do your part and dont delay get this product today you wont be un happy with the results and it is easy to use. My friends all love the idea and were amazed at the energy savings.Customer Review: Better than expected!

We bought this to use with our entertainment system and were shocked when we got our electric bill a month later- it was down $15! Each month we are saving $ and within 2 months had already made the cost of the strip back. We plugged in our HDTV to the control unit outlet, the cable box & wireless router in the outlets that stay on all the time, and then we have our Wii, Xbox, blu ray player, network storage device & printer plugged into the other outlets that are controlled by the TV. People who have video game systems will especially find these smart strips to work well and save lots of $ when they aren't in use. I've convinced everyone in my family to buy one- we are that impressed!Customer Review: auto switching power strip performs flawlessly

Purchased this device to power up some auxillary fans I installed in an entertainment center to keep my receiver cool. Because I did not have a switched port on the back of the receiver I was in a bit of a bind. This device works as advertised and performs flawlessly. I plug my fans (transformer into on of the switched outlets and my receiver into the controller outlet. Whenever I turn my stereo on, the power strip automatically turns on my fans (and visa versa when I power down my receiver). It has multiple switched outlets to use for other devices such as a gaming unit etc. I had to make zero adjustments and it worked right out of the box. Very simple!!
