Tools and Hardware Reviews of Smart Strip LCG5 Energy Saving Power Strip with Auto-Switching Technology and Modem/Coaxial Surge ProtectionCustomer Review: Not ideal for home theatre Summary: 3 Stars
From what I've read, flat panel TV's draw the most power in standby mode. Using the Smart Strip for my home theater, it's only logical to plug the TV into the control outlet so all components come on when the TV is powered up. Using this configuration the biggest energy vampire is still always on.
Customer Review: Smart Strip Power Strip Summary: 4 Stars
Works great. I had been crawling under my computer table to turn off the power strip at night. Now it does it by itself. I only wish that ALL of the "power saving" outlets were spaced further apart. I have one transformer that won't fit. But the power strip is doing it's job. I like it.
Customer Review: Good strip Summary: 4 Stars
If you have a lot of peripherals, this is what you're looking for: a healthy amount of spaces, several large enough to make room for the oversized computer cables. Instructions were in several languages, but with simple trial and error, you'll be able to figure this out. Compact and portable.
Customer Review: Very pleased Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good buy. I have my tv, PS3, modem, cable box, home theater system, and a little lamp plugged into this surge protector. It really works great. I'm very happy with this product. Plus, who doesn't like something that lowers your bills and is better for the environment?
Customer Review: The perfect solution Summary: 5 Stars
Works perfectly. I bought a nice new receiver and the only feature it didn't have was a switched outlet. I use this strip to turn off other components such as my HDMI and composite video switches when my receiver turns off. Highly recommended.
