I bought this strip about two and a half years ago. It worked OK for the first year and a half. It was a bit finicky and hard to set correctly, but it did the job almost all of the time. About a year ago, it got so it wouldn't shut things down reliably. I started having occasional brown outs in the equipment I had plugged into it. Then it started making noises. After two and a half years, it needs to be replaced. I'd like to get a bit more than that out of a strip I paid $40 for.Customer Review: Worked Perfectly for Me

I have a setup where the main device is a desktop computer and the controlled devices are a monitor, speakers, and a lamp. I plugged them all in and it just worked.
Reading other reviews, I thought I would have to fiddle around to get it to work the way I wanted, but luckily that was not the case.
I would have like to purchase the black strip, but I guess that's more of a seller thing.
Anyway, worked well right out of the box for me.

I recently bought three of these and have had some issues with them. I have a router attached to my desktop computer that allows the laptops in the house to be used. With the smart strip, I must turn on the desktop in order for any of the others to be usuable. Same thing with my living room, where I have the tv, wii and stereo all plugged in. The stereo will not turn on until I turn the tv on. I might be setting things up wrong...need to read the directions again.Customer Review: Great product, does what it says

I tried the Belkin Conserve Smart Belkin Conserve Smart AV F7C007q Energy-Saving Power Strip which would not trigger when my Pioneer amplifier was turned off (standby). I purchased the Smart Strip and gave the adjustment screw a quarter turn counter clockwise and I am now in business. Great product. I will never buy one of these unless it has an adjustment screw.Customer Review: This thing works!

I use this in my home theater setup, using the receiver as the master component. All other components except the TV are plugged into the switched outlets, including the BluRay player. The switched outlet speeds up the player's boot time because I can set the player to quick-start mode, but still save energy when the system is off.
The smart strip uses no power when it's off, but needs about a watt of power when it's on. Highly recommended.
