Tools and Hardware Reviews of Smart Strip SCG3 Energy Saving Power Strip with Autoswitching TechnologyCustomer Review: Works as advertised! One limitation for me. Summary: 4 Stars
The Smart Strip SCG3 works exactly as advertised. I expect to save energy dollars. The one thing I did not think through and anticipate is that when I use this for my TV and surround sound it works great, but if I want to use my surround sound for a music CD or FM stations, then I need to have the TV turned on for that. Bummer! For the 85% of the time I use it for TV, it works great for me.
Customer Review: Energy Saving Power Strip Summary: 3 Stars
This is a cool power strip because everything does not need to be powered up all the time. However, I found that this did not save me one penny and I don't think it cut down on energy use in any significant way that would make me spend this much money. If it makes you feel good to think your doing a "green" think, then buy it, but don't expect to see a change in your energy use or bill.
Customer Review: Great device Summary: 5 Stars
I use this power strip with my computer. I hated the fact that my printer was always on even when my computer was not. I run my printer and monitor into this device and when I turn my PC off, it automatically turns off the printer and monitor. Too simple!
I plan on buying another one to use with my TV and stereo.
Very easy way to save money on electricity.
Customer Review: Works so well I bought 2 more! Summary: 5 Stars
I own two of the 7 plug smart strips after buying and loving the 10 plug model for my home entertainment cord mess :) I couldn't recommend this more to anyone who wants to be energy-conscious but lives with other people who have trouble remembering to turn things off. I'm sure my roommate appreciates me not bugging him to unplug his power-guzzling transformer for his pc speakers!
Customer Review: Works perfect right out of the box. Simple as that. Summary: 5 Stars
Works perfect right out of the box. Simple as that. I bought two. One is on my computer system and the other is on my TV stereo. Common since says that I will eventually save some money on energy cost. I have cable and elected to turn off my cable box also. When I turn on the TV I have to wait a couple minutes for the guide program info to come on but no big deal.
