I bought this for my daughter who is serving in the Peace Corp in Indonesia. It is really hot there and she was having trouble sleeping. This seemed like a good product for her. I bought it and spent a large sum sending it to her (since Amazon would not ship it directly). She was thrilled and used it happily for just over a month UNTIL she woke up one night to find her bed flooded because the pillow sprang a leak. The product was either defective or they are all poorly made and will not last. I am trying to get some help from customer service, but so far I have not. This is my third Chillow! I started using them about 10 years ago when hot flashes were ruining my sleep. They work great...it remains cool all night and I can get my rest. When I have traveled and been unable to take the Chillow with me, I notice a big difference in how hot I feel during the night. But stick with regular Chillow. They work great. Chillow Plus negative is that it doesn't stay in place inside the pillowcase, despite the sticky tabs that come with it. And it has a very bad chemical smell. I could not use it. I had the original chillow for over 2 years. It sprung a leak, so when I went to purchase a new one, I saw the ChillowPlus and thought wow, this one's got to be even better. Wrong! The chillowPlus does not get as cold, and I cannot fell the cold-comfort thru my pillowcase as well, and it seems to hold the heat in, and it slides all over in my pillowcase. If you are going to purchase a chillow, definately purchase the original chillow. It is great! It is a much higher level of cool-comforting and that cool feeling lasts longer and it doesn't slide around and bunch up in my pillow...Customer Review: Not worth the money

I got this to help with night sweats I was starting to get at night when I went to bed.First of all the plastic smell is so bad and it never goes away I have had this a month and it it still as strong as the first day. It does not stay cool ( not cold ) for more than 15 to 20 mins tops.
It is a waste of money . My 2.99 cold pack stays cold for 2 hours and this thing was 31.00 and I am lucky to get 15 mins out of it. I waited a month to review this to be fair and I still feel the same way. Dont waste your money you will be dissapointed.

I was very excited when I heard abou this product. I've suffered through hot flashes for years and thought this might get me a better night's sleep. While it is cool when I first lie down, it warms up quickly. It is very firm (not pillow like) and I spend a great deal of time in the morning trying to smooth it because it inevitably ends up slipping off the top of my pillow and bunching up.
I would not recommend this product to people who think it will relieve night sweats or who like a pillow that is somewhat comfortable.
