Customer Review: Dumb Design

Recently I bought the Insteon remote control and a pair of the remote access points to control my Inteon lamp modules. Everything works 100% as intended and I am happy with the purchase but who designed the key layout on this remote and why is it so big? The build quality is very good and the soft touch plastic material is nice but in combination with the over size power on/off keys and dimmer buttons and the random layout of the keys on the remote one gets a love - hate response to this remote. My prior X10 remote ( which worked horribly and was a P.O.S. ) was a much better layout and was 2/3 the size and designed to operate more appliances.
In a perfect world, I would take the Insteon and remote quality build and build materials and reliability and merge it with the X10 remote smaller size and design layout and together I would have a proper remote.
