Customer Review: Very Big Bag at a Great Price

When reviewing a product online I often compare what I was expecting to receive (from the merchant's description) and what I actually receive. It's up to me to make an educated purchase, right? This product exactly matches what I needed. It is big and can easily accommodate our 7-foot tree (which comes in three pieces). It has more room than we need and once packed the bag is not that heavy to carry. It has convenient handles, perhaps not the most rugged but largely sufficient to transport the bag to a storage room where it will not have to move for another 11 months (and who needs to do some kick boxing with a storage bag!). The overall material seems sturdy enough, but I did protect the metallic ends of the tree with old socks to avoid any risk of puncture (better be safe than sorry). I have not tested the bag against nuclear attack, but to be safe I bought 2 bags just in case I have to. For the storage of a Christmas tree (or equivalent) in a place where it will never have to move until next year, this bag is absolutely perfect. The price is right, and delivery was quick. The price has dropped somewhat since I purchased these about a month ago, to $2.49. There is no super saver shipping with this item through the current vendor, but considering the price, the shipping at about $7 is not too bad, especially since I decided to buy two, which didn't cost substantially much more shipping than one. These bags are huge, and my tree is 7 and 1/2 feet tall with prestrung lights. I'm sure that the entire tree would have fit into one bag. However, I'm not capable of moving one of these bags with a 45 to 50 pound tree in it. That's why I split the tree into two bags, wrapping the metal trunks in old socks held on with rubber bands, to be sure they don't puncture the bag from the inside. Besides, two bags are easier to store in my closet. The plastic is deceptively strong because it appears to be not too much better than trash bags, but I did bump the bag into corners, and it didn't rip. The handles are long and cross stitched at the ends, which will help keep them from tearing. As a result, I did actually could put the handles over my shoulder and lift the bag.Customer Review: Cheap in price not cheap in product!!

I have to say I was skeptical about this product. The price was unbelievably cheap that you have to think is this product worth it. Well it is. Some of the other reviews say you first think the straps are going to rip off or the bag will rip but it is pretty strong. I purchased two of them because my tree is pretty heavy if it was stuffed inside one bag. These bags have plenty of room. One person described it as a body bag for a large person. Well now I see what they meant. I even carried it on my shoulder like a handbag up the stairs and then into the attic. The one bag got caught on the metal parts on my pull down attic stairs and I thought for sure I ripped it but I didn't. I am kind of interested to see how long it will last over the next couple of years. For the price I am going to purchase a couple of more for replacements in the future if I should need it. I bought a new Christmas tree for my family room and needed a storage bag to keep the tree in our shed. I had purchased a different one previously, but it was no longer available. When I saw the price on this product, I thought, I'll buy two; if it's no good, it will at least last me a couple of years.
When it came in the mail, I thought, you're joking. This is just a little better than paper! But I put my tree in it, and it works great. I mean it's great! I had to drag it through doorways to get it outside, and it didn't tear - actually held up well. The handle straps are strong. I doubt that I'll ever use the second one I bought - this one's going to last awhile! (My wife says we'll just have to buy another tree!)
Don't let the price fool you - this is a sturdy bag. You won't be disappointed! (Buy two - that way you can have an extra Christmas tree too!)

Like other reviews have noted, it's only 3 bucks and it works. And the plastic is thicker than a plastic garbage bag, but sure it's a bit flimsy. Having said that, it took my 6 foot tree, without a glitch, and with lots of room to spare. If anything, it's a bit too big, but again, for 3 bucks, who's complaining? Oh, and the seller must have read the reviews about slow shipping - mine was shipped the day after I ordered it, and arrived 24 hours after that via DHL. I was rather pleasantly surprised. My tree is now put away for a year, the bag didn't rip, I think I got my 3 dollars' worth :-)
