Tools and Hardware Reviews of SonicScrubber SSHK-S Household and Kitchen Powered Cleaning KitCustomer Review: You too can have OCD Summary: 5 Stars
Indulge your inner obsessive compulsive! Do you want to become one of those people who everyone hates? Who spends all her time at other people's houses noticing the dog hair, the cat hair or the chipped cup? Do you want to be the mother-in-law from hell? Well, then the Sonic Scrubber might just get you halfway there.
The problem is that the thing actually works too well. It's sort of addictive - and this is coming from someone who's a world-class slob. I'll admit that I got so carried away with scrubbing and wiping, scrubbing and wiping that I didn't want to stop cleaning my baseboards to take my kids to the pool - on a beautiful sunny day! The house looks like new - though I can't guarantee how long it will stay that way. Basically, this product allows you to actually deal with those weird little smudges and smears that you've aware of (inside the grates above the microwave, around the individual spindles on the stairs, on the baseboards, inside the dryer (don't ask)) but have never had the tools to deal with before. My problem is that if this thing ends up setting the standard for clean (Or as I like to say, "Dirty is the new clean"), then we're all doomed. This "revolutionary" product might just set women back a hundred years - though presumably you can also push the button on the cleaning device if you're male too. (In other words, if you buy it, immediately teach everyone else in your family how to use it too and make it very clear that it can be operated by either sex - unlike those other devices like, say, the iron or the vacuum cleaner.)
Customer Review: Seems a good tool...but the jury is still out Summary: 5 Stars
I am skeptical of "As Seen On TV" items but this is just what I was looking for before I ever knew such a tool actually existed. It came quickly after ordering and has worked really well so far, but, I've only used it less than 2 hours total. It has cleaned my shower tile grout and faucet chrome fixtures better than anything I've found previously. I've just used Bon Ami with it so far and all but the most deep, stubborn stains have come out. I think I can eventually get most of the stubborn stuff out as well but may need something more potent than my Bon Ami. I get farther into corner areas than I could ever get before with any brushes, including toothbrushes, and have not yet tried the cone-shaped brush. Hopefully, it will get the tiny bit remaining. Chrome fixtures look great without any real effort on my part.
The supplied batteries lasted reasonably well but I had to replace them after less than an hour. I put in Duracells and they lasted a bit longer but I'll have gone through 2 sets of batteries for roughly 2 hours or less of use. Considering what I have been able to clean easily and how much work this tool has saved me though, I have no complaints about battery life.
The attachments all appear to be plastic and I remain skeptical that they will hold up well but so far so good and I am very satisfied. It's the best cleaning tool I've had yet and if it holds up and continues to operate I will be extremely happy with my choice. If it falls apart I'll definitely modify this review but as of this time I will give this a 5-star rating.
Customer Review: One of the Best Products available.....Bar None..! Summary: 5 Stars
First off let me tell you that my wife and I are both disabled and because of that we have found that cleaning a bathroom can be very trying to say the least, our bathtub floor (Pebble finish) has become discolored and so I went out and purchased a scrub brush on a stick and the strongest bathroom spray cleaner I could find and spent a day trying to scrub out all of the gunk that I could, several hours later the room was clean but the embedded gunk remained.
One day my wife ,who enjoys shopping, came home with a Sonic Scrubber and handed it to me and said "Try this in the bathroom". So I did and that is why I am posting this here today, This little scrubber is terrific, I was able to sit on the edge of the tub and spray it and give it a minute or two and then use the Sonic Scrubber and lo and behold the tub and surrounding tile now sparkle.
The only complaint from here might be that you have to learn how to keep the brushes in a close pattern simply because if you don't you will get stripes in the gunk (This is easily corrected by going in a different angle) and the other thing is that when you buy this you should get refill brushes because I wouldn't use bathroom brushes in my kitchen.
It's great to find a product that does what it says it will do and at a reasonble price, buy the Sonic Scrubber, you will not be sorry you did...
Customer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
Saw this advertised on TV -- found it for a great price on Amazon (big surprise). It's a little powerhouse, and, so far, hasn't been real hard on batteries. A lot of the floors in our new-to-us home are tile -- with incredibly old, never-before-cleaned grout, that I've recently discovered isn't really brown, it's gray. It's a slow process, more the fault of the dirt build up than the cleaner -- 30 years is a long time to go without a good cleaning. This is the ONLY thing I've found that will remove that ground in, built-up grime; believe me, I've tried everything, right down to wire brushes. My biggest difficulty is letting the scrubber do the work, instead of trying to apply the usual ton of elbow grease. I wish it had just one more, smaller soft brush, but am quite impressed nonetheless. My husband has even used it on the sink, faucets, etc., and was pleased. Can't be beat for the price, that's for sure. Would highly recommend, even though the color combination's a little jarring.
Customer Review: Does what it says it will Summary: 5 Stars
Like some of the others here, I was a bit skeptical when I first bought it, but it's not terribly expensive, so I thought I'd give it a try.
My main bathroom has ceramic tile floor and the grouting is really disgusting. I sprayed a bit of cleaner on the grout, waited a minute or two, then set to work with the brush attachment. A minimum of back and forth with the scrubber really got the grout clean! Amazing!
I've used it on other things as well, such as the faucet and wood molding around windows. My next job will be to get the grunge out of the track of the sliding glass doors.
I feel like I want to buy another for a spare in case they stop selling them.
I'm one of those people who enjoys getting household gadgets as a gift, and this would have been a really great gift. I may even get one for my daughter, the clean-freak.
