Tools and Hardware Reviews of Sonin 00700 Water Alarm with Remote SensorCustomer Review: Second purchase of this item Summary: 4 Stars
My first unit lasted four years and am going on two with this one. My sump well overflows in a day if the pump fails and this is well worth the price compared to a flooded basement. I also have a water backup pump but it recently failed and I have to find another model to replace it. So this unit gives me some comfort.

Ooperated long enough to test it out, then started a low buzz noise and never alarmed again after multiple trys, including replacing battery.

Customer Review: Water alarm with wired sensor Summary: 4 Stars
Needed an alarm with wired sensor that I could place it in more audible location. Successfully spliced in about 15' length of thin wire into the short wire it comes with. I would have preferred an unit with louder alarm, which could be located near basement water heater and still be audible from higher floors.
Customer Review: Great Device Summary: 5 Stars
The best money I have spent on my house. I put one in my second story laundry room and one next to my air handler, and I sleep much better now. The one in the laundry room has already alerted us to a splashing situation caused by an overfilled washer and I am sure it saved us more time and money than it cost.
Customer Review: Works great ! Summary: 5 Stars
Place the contacts where they will contact rising water and the alarm can be heard all over the house. Put it in the sump, very pleased. The local hardware store wanted 45 bucks for their water sensor. The cord is plenty long enough, it's just stuffed up into the battery compartment for shipping.
