Customer Review: Not as Pictured

The kit does not include the green ACQ Proof screws as pictured. Instead are quantity 14, heavy (#10 two inch, I would guess) flat head screws which require a #3 Roberts square bit, included with the kit. Also included is a #2 Phillips bit, which fits the rest of the screws. A Quadrex bit fits most of the larger screws, but is not included with the kit. All of the screws have a silver color finish and are highly magnetic, so I doubt any of the screws are stainless steel. All of the screws are flathead, except for qty. 30 lightweight 1 1/2 inch pan head fully threaded sheet metal screws. Also, the screws in the far right compartment are not as pictured, they are also 1 1/2 " long (the ones pictured look to be about 3"). The longest screws are 2 1/2" long. I am going to guess this is about one and a half pounds of screws. The bits and holder are well made, but nothing special. The box is well made and should last. So these screws are probably running a pricey fifteen bucks a pound or so. But for someone looking for an organized way to have some wood screws on hand (SPAX says they can be used in concrete, also) to save a trip to the hardware store, they might be worth it. The screws are well made, with serrations to cut into the material. Like another reviewer, I would recommend pre-drilling in particle board, etc. to prevent splitting the material. None of the screws are SPAX's highly touted stainless steel deck screws, a serious omission. And there are no ACQ Proof screws either. I am giving the product 4 stars because of the overall quality of the package, but if I was looking for any of the specific screws pictured that are not included, I would have downgraded it to 2 stars.
