I purchased this mug as a christmas present for someone that wanted a new and different travel mug, and this seemed perfect. Reviews were good, yadda, yadda, yadda. However, when I took off the lid the small plastic/rubber ring that holds it on fell off immediately. Well, I have the feeling it is not going to stay put, meaning that the lid will fall off all the time and the ring will certainly get lost. But, since it is a gift, I will give it and then let the recipient decide whether I should return it or not. I suspect they will be as disappointed as I am.
