This fitler works great. It has made a big difference to our skin and hair, and so I am sure our overall health as well. I have one in each shower in my house.
However, after only two months the nut which joins the shower head to the filter unit broke on both. I contacted the seller who asked me to send them to him to see. I did all the way from Oregon to Rhode Is. at my expense. He looked at it and told me I must have smashed it somehow and that was that. All I asked was for a new shower head, as the filter was fine. I not only had to spend my own money to send the item back, but I then had to go out and buy new shower heads! I was very unhappy and so I cannot recommended buying from this seller.

I learned that taking showers actually causes cancer due to the chlorine becoming vaporized (and you breathe that in). I started taking showers with the shower door cracked but that leaked out heat and water. This showerhead virtually eliminates the steam that used to come out of my old showerhead and the water just "feels" better.
I hesitated to order any new showerhead because I thought that it was going to be hard to install correctly. Fortunately it was absolutely simple to install! Just unscrew your current showerhead and screw this one on. I put a little plumber's tape (like a white rubbery plastic tape) on the nozzle threads before I screwed the new showerhead on but this step probably isn't necessary. Installed in about 2 minutes and works great.

I really do feel a difference. I had the sprite filter for about a year now and just replaced the cartridge.
I have tried a few other shower filters : Aquasana, VitaMaxTM Vitamin C inline filter. This is clearly the best.
My only issue is that it does not seem to last 1 year. For me it seems to last 7-8 months. Perhaps I should try switching the cartridge around after 6 months. I sent an email to customer service about this and they responded quickly. That was good.
I am just wondering if I can find another shower filter system that works as effectively and that it does for the first 3 months for the remaining 5 months (of the 8 months I keep the filter).

The first month I was very pleased with this product, but after having it for less than 2 months the filter is already dirty. Now when I first turn on the shower the water is a dirty yellow. The building I live in is old, so I'm sure the pipes are old, but still for a product that is supposed to last 6 months, less than 2 is unacceptable. I'm getting another one that is a few hundred and is supposed to last 2 years. We'll see how that one goes.Customer Review: Better Skin in DC

I NEVER write reviews, but this one is worth a couple minutes of my time. I live in DC where we have the oldest pipes in the country, literally. My skin hated it when i moved here... until I got this. I'm a little worried about not knowing exactly when to put in the refill, but that's a very minor concern for such an improvement! Love it.
