Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stack-On LS-1402 Log Stacker

Customer Review: I hate them
Summary: 1 Stars

I have been using the Landman ends to build 8 foot long racks..I decided to give these a try so bought 2 sets. They are flimsy cheap plastic and I managed to crack one putting it together. Of course I used pressure treated 2x4s and they did not come close to fitting. I had to spend a good amount of time with a utility knife cutting and trimming the ends. Once together you cant touch an upright without hearing the plastic creaking. I didn't save much either. The landman ends were $29 at Home Depot. These were almost $16 plus you need 2 more pressure treated 2x4s is another $6. I saved $7 per rack. I think I will get more of Landman ends.

Customer Review: Super Simple
Summary: 4 Stars

I had two trees removed and kept some of the wood. I'm a single gal, not all that handy, and just wanted and easy, inexpensive way of stacking wood. I was concerned that the brackets were plastic but it got such good reviews.

It was easy to assemble, you couldn't find anything easier, just stick your own 2x4s in the slots and you're done! It seems very stable with the wood stacked. The brackets will be easy to store when the wood is gone. Not sure how long they'll last but Oregon winters aren't that hard so my guess is several years.

Customer Review: A great value for their intended purpose
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used these for about 10 years and highly recommend them. I use them to set up "temporary" woodpiles on my screen porch each fall. I dismantle them each spring when the outdoor furniture goes in that area.

I like these because they are easy to assemble and easy to disassemble. They are remarkably sturdy considering that they are constructed of plastic. For my permanent woodpiles, I use the galvanized corners made by Simpson (RTC24). They are more sturdy, but the wood must be screwed to the corners.

Customer Review: Holding up so far
Summary: 4 Stars

Bought several of these (I have lots of wood). This is by far the best product to use if you want to stack fire wood. I have also bought similar products from the "bargin" stores but they did not hold up well to the elements. I held out reviewing this product because I wanted to see if the "plastic" would withstand the cold winters, and they have. No cracks and fire wood is still standing. I would highly recommend this product!!! Do not buy imitation products....only buy the EZ stacker.

Customer Review: Made of thin plastic
Summary: 2 Stars

The EZ Stacker wood crib(plastic brackets) is a product made of thin plastic, it's light and looks like it will not hold for a long time. I made a EZ stacker wood crib using 2x4s pressure treated wood(wood is not supplied) and it's sitting in my backyard, with the weather elements in New England how long is it going to last, maybe 3 to 5 years. I will give it 2 stars. note: this product can be greatly improve by simply making it of thick plastic at that point I would give it 5 stars.
