Although you can't rely on this miter gauge to be exactly precise without testing your cuts before final fitting, it definitely gets you in the zone quickly. It's a very handy tool. this product takes a lot of the pain from miter work - no matter how old (or young) your property is, nearly nothing will be square. This thing works so well because it is a simple idea with clear markings for angles. No problems with the unit. Mine appears accurate. Seems that they got the label on right. Unit is well built, I am sure it will get some good use.
Amazon packaging sucked as usual. Box was OPEN with the unit just laying on the top. No damage. USE MORE TAPE PLEASE!

I use this when putting up molding and I get a great fit every time. The only issue I have is that I wish they made a six inch for those small miters. I got around this by using a angle tool and matched it to the protractor once I got it set.Customer Review: Starrett 505A-12 ProSite Protractor

Not accurate. 45 and 90 degrees do not match up one way, but do the other. I have no confidence in the accuracy of this item. Wish I had never bought it. The concept is good but not followed through on this item.
