The protractor itself worked fine. Accurate and durable. My biggest complaint was the scam amazon used to try to get you to sign up for some "club" in order give you faster shipping. The free shipping took nine days to get here when it used to take three to four. They didn't even ship it for five days. After this I ordered my next item from another site and even though they offered two day shipping for a fee, the free shipping took only three days. The protractor I received was defective in its manufacture. Product advertising describes and shows both a red degree scale and a red arrow. The unit I receved did not have the red scale and only part of the arrow was red. I contacted the manufacturer and they provided sympathy only, and no resolution to the problem except "return it." Thank you amazon.com for making return of this item painless! I will no longer consider Starrett for future tool purchases.Customer Review: Great protractor at a great price!

I read many of the product reviews for this protractor before I purchased one. This is a great protractor! If you have a need to cut any angle, then you need this handy tool. I have been teaching Agriculture Education for over 20 years ,and instruct kids in a woodworking and welding shop setting. I wish I had purchased one years earlier. This would make a great addition to any professional or hobby woodworker.Customer Review: Nice time saver for your next moulding project!

Instead of humping a 10 foot length of moulding back and forth between the bedroom and the mitre saw in the garage, just pick up one of these Starrett protractors and get your angles cut perfect the FIRST TIME! A real time (and wall) saver. If I would've had one of these on my first moulding project, I probably wouldn't have had to repaint the hallway after dragging the mouldings back and forth in frustration.Customer Review: My neighbor likes it!

After seeing my protractor my neighbor went to Harbor Freight and purchased the same concept tool. After a few uses of his new acquisition he started borrowing mine.
Hey, this works for me and I find it to be very accurate.
Mostly I like it because it eliminates the need to think about the math -- it's automatic. I can then concentrate on not cutting off my fingers. That's a joke.
