Customer Review: Very disappointing.

I just purchased this steamer from a local store after having seen it demonstrated on HSN the night before. From the demonstration on TV, I was amazed at what this little steamer could do. However, when I got it home, I was very disappointed with the performance. In order to get a continuous flow of steam, you have to pump the handle on top. The residual steam after you have pumped it a few times runs out very quickly, so it is absolutely necessary to contunuously pump and pump, which can be very tedious. Also shown on TV was the amazing power to just steam away dirt and grime. I did not see this either. It did loosen up the dirt, but I did not see it running away from the steam like you do in the infomercials. Another problem is that it leaked where the cord went into the body of the steamer. Additionally, the body of the steamer got extremely hot and took a long time to cool down. On the whole, I am very disappointed with this product and plan on returning it as soon as possible.
