I purchased this set of four casters for the base of a new band saw that I recently also purchased through Amazon. I installed them immediately and they are exactly what I had hoped they would be. I can easily move the saw to any work place I desire and then lock the casters for a solid and safe work space. I particularly like the fact that the locking mechanism stops both wheel turning and caster rotation. A very good buy!!Customer Review: A fine caster

A fine caster, and well worth the money. I oiled them up a little bit when I got them, and they should last forever. You provide your own mounting screws; about 1/4", as I remember. I put them on a mitre-saw base that I converted from an old on-stage speaker cabinet, and now it's easy to roll it over thresholds -- and easy to lock the wheels. Locking two of them immobilizes the base just fine.Customer Review: Excellent caster!

I just built a rolling base for my table saw using these casters and couldn't be more pleased! The casters roll beautifully and the double brakes lock the wheels solidly so that there is no motion when I lean on the saw.
My saw is a 10" contractor's saw made by Jet. I think the casters are strong enough to handle a heavier saw.

the rubber on the wheel is comperable to that of a rollerblade wheel. Better than the hard plastic you find on cheap office furniture. The construction is solid and the brake lever seems durable. Couple that with a $7 price tag and you have a great bargain.Customer Review: Brake NOT As Pictured

I chose this caster because of the hefty looking brake button. This picture is NOT accurate. The brake is more like the standard, bent metal brake - not nearly as substantial as the photo shows. Otherwise, it's a standard caster - nothing special.
