Tools and Hardware Reviews of Steelex D2614 3-Inch 220-Pound Threaded Swivel Double Lock Polyurethane Plate Caster

Customer Review: Excellent heavy-duty caster
Summary: 5 Stars

I put these on the base of my old Craftsman table saw, which has a cast iron top and is plenty heavy. The casters work great---very smooth rolling, given the heavy load. Thanks to reviewer John Z. for the info regarding the hex nuts (though they are 12mm-1.75, not 12mm-1.175).

Another reviewer commented that the locking mechanism is not as pictured, and this is true (it looks more like the one pictured for the Steelex D2608). However, it seems to be working fine on all four wheels and doesn't seem flimsy to me. When locked, the saw was solid during operation, though I admit I made only a few test cuts so far and nothing too demanding. The quality of the casters was impressive overall. I won't hesitate buying these again should the need arise.

Customer Review: Great -Just what I was looking for!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had purchased 4 of these swivel casters for my bandsaw and received them very quickly. Went to Home Depot and they had their metric items in drawers, rather than hanging on the wall. The hex nuts for these swivel casters were in stock. If you are looking for the specs on these nuts they are HEX NUTS, 12mm-1.175 and the last several digits of the bar code = 36248 6.

It only took me a few minutes to take of my old rubber feet and put these swivels on. All of the locks worked fine and my bandsaw didn't even move when I used it. A product that worked!

Customer Review: An Inexpensive Mobility Fix
Summary: 5 Stars

Put these casters on my table saw and gained much needed mobility around my shop. They're inexpensive, save your back from having to tug your saw or whatever around, stay nicely when brakes applied. A good deal. The only negative, as mentioned by another rater, is getting the metric nuts to secure the casters. As the other person did, I took the information to Home Depot and found the nuts. I had tried at two local hardware stores to find the nuts, which they didn't have. It would be a nice touch for the company to include the 4 hard to find nuts.

Customer Review: Exactly what I needed!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have put these casters on two band saws that I have in my shop. I got the threaded posts so that I could use the casters in place of the adjustable pad feet that came on the saws. I just pulled the old feet off and put these in their place.

The double locks work great. When the wheels are locked there is no motion when using the saws. Very solid.

Making my "stationary" power tools easily movable is going to really help make my shop more flexible!

Customer Review: Does exactly what I wanted.
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this product to help me move my heavy 10" table saw around my shop. I does exactly what I wanted. It's not to tall and makes that table at a comfortable height.I have tried others, but they are to large and makes the table to tall. They lock in nice and tight and the locks are easily removed. I recommend this product to anyone who has any machinery you need to move around and need to lock it into prosition to use it.
