The Step2 5A0100 Garden Kneeler is a really simple idea - a plastic wonder that provides for comfortable kneeling for weeding and other ground level tasks, and a comfortable seat for higher up work. My beloved spouse, the gardener of the family, was ecstatic over this simple Christmas gift, and has proved it's value several times over already!
The two side pieces and the seat/kneeling surface lock together in an instant to provide a sturdy and robust platform.
Some might say $29 is a little much for the Kneeler -- but the pleasure it has given makes it terrific value for money in my book!

my wife broke a toe about three weeks ago. The first week she couldn't put any weight on the foot.
I had bought her this gardening stool last year and it turns out its great for the shower. Very light weight, very stable, the right height and its well made so that the water doesn't even get in the hollow plastic moldings as I feared it might. After allowing to dry a bit, I can take it out of the shower and it doesn't slosh or drip at all from trapped water.
PS its also meant to be used upside down (for kneeling while in the garden) and there's a removable knee pad velcroed to the underside we removed for this use.
PPS Its a OK garden stool and kneeler as well.

The garden kneeler is very sturdy and large enough to make a comfortable seat, whether using it as a bench seat or sitting astraddle of it. I use it in the house when scooping the cats' litter boxes and when sorting items that are in low shelves or lower kitchen cabinets. I have found that any chore that requires bending over, such as cleaning the refrigerator or oven, can be done with less stress on my back by sitting on the garden kneeler, and it can be easily carried by its built-in handle. Turned upside-down, I can save my knees by kneeling on the foam pad, and the side handles are helpful in pushing myself up. Well worth the price!Customer Review: Just the Best

Ordered this kneeler for the garden, and am pleased to discover that it works in so many spots in the house too. I fractured my hip awhile ago, and still have difficulty getting up from the kneeling position - I have to plan ahead for something to grab onto. Now I just bring this along when I wash my floors, reach into low cabinets, clean out my closet bottoms, my refrigerator crispers, etc. It's very sturdy but is not too heavy. Can't wait for spring to arrive - I'll love it
in the garden!

Because of bad knees and because she is a larger lady, my mom has trouble getting up when she is doing weeding. I was concerned that the kneeler might not be wide enough for her to kneel on, but she said that it's really great and that she's very pleased with it. She said that it will be great for doing floor cleaning, too. I definitely recommend it, especially for people who have trouble getting up from being on their knees working on things.
