As a elderly person with bad knees, I needed something that
would soften the pressure on my knees when I pulled weeds or
planted flowers. In addition, I needed something that would help
support me as I was lowering or raising myself to or from a kneeling
position. The Step2 5AO100 Garden Kneeler was just what I needed.
It is simple to assemble and I use it whenever I need to get down
on all fours.

Getting up and down gets harder every year. Recovering from back surgery makes gardening very difficult. This well built kneeler allows the use of one's hands rather than leg and back muscles to get up and down. The kneeler construction has changed from a previous version. It comes packaged in three pieces rather than one molded unit and a strong person is needed to install the two "handles".Customer Review: More than one use for this item.

Altho this is listed as a garden item it is wonderful for use in the house. It's a great stool to sit on while doing work in the house, thus saving your knees! I have also used it in the shower to sit on while bathing my small dog! And, of course, it's great in the garden where it saves your back & your knees. I now own 2 and can't recommend it highly enough. Also very reasonably priced.Customer Review: Easy up and down!

Purchased this for a gardener with aging knees. Very sturdy, good support for getting up and down from kneeling position. Slides together without tools, has a very solid feel even for 200 lbs user. Only drawback is the larger footprint, making it harder to avoid crushing plants in the garden if your path is not very wide. I bought this last Christmas for my In-laws.......they love it. They are avid gardners and my Father-in-law had trouble getting up and found the handle great for supporting him when getting up. My Mother-in-law loved the cushion for her knees, she said it was just perfect and the height was wonderful. So this year I will be purchasing two more for other gardners in our family!
