i used the hammer to put up cedar shingles. it sure beat the 16 or 20 oz hammer in that i could use it all day and not tire. i wouldn't want to use it to bang in spikes as i don't think it is designed for that, but for finish work or puting up wood shingles it sure met my needs. rather expensive. i don't think i would recommend it if you weren't going to do something light and a lot of it.Customer Review: Best hammer ever

I'm a professional carpenter, and I own both this smaller finish hammer and the larger framing version. Because of the prevalence of nail-guns for most framing, I find myself slinging the 10oz hammer more often than not. Not only is it so light that I barely notice it hanging from my belt, the short handle also prevents the typical back-of-the-knee strikes.Customer Review: Awesome hammer

This is a great hammer. This 10 oz. hammer works just as good as the 16 oz. steel ones. I got one for myself and my daughter and son-in-law. My daughter said it is now her hammer of choice.

I bought my 1st one about 7 years ago and my second about 5 years ago. The first is for finish work only, I love it so much I bought a second one, and now I use the 2nd one for siding and trim. There is no other hammer I would use. The lighter weight makes it easier to carry all day, and it drives nails better than steel.Customer Review: Great Finish Hammer

I have used it for two days now installing cedar clapboard siding. All hand nailing with SS ring shanks. This hammer is really nice, the light weight makes it almost disappear from the weight of your tool belt but has the hitting power of a steel 16 oz hammer.
