My mother-in-law has an over the door rack that is so nice. I was hoping this would do the trick like hers to get my many big spice jars out of our tiny cupboard. Wrong idea!
The over the door hooks are too large for my newer interior doors. The design of the hooks that attach the two rack pieces together is stupid because it just makes the racks stick out. It comes with screws to secure it to the door, but as a renter, that is why I sought an over the door rack- so I wouldn't put any holes in the door! If I could put holes in the door, I would have gotten the permanent mounted racks, not some swinging piece of junk!
The shelves are rated for 5 pounds each. With all my big spice jars from the shopping club, the wires are rounding a bit in places. Also, the wires are too far apart for the small spice jars, as they keep tipping over.
Poor quality and poor design. This one may be going back!

We moved from a large home into a smaller one and I was scrambling to find every bit of storage space for my supplies (I am a candlemaker/Soapmaker). First I ordered two sets of these. Used one for my 4 year olds movies and another set for my office supplies. Now I need to order more sets for what I originally intended these to be for! They DO securely attach to doors/walls with the screws provided. You do not have to use the over the door hooks with them if they interfere with your doors shutting properly. I have mine loaded to the max and they are not sagging or feeling flimsy at all. They are what they are, coated wire shelves. But they are sturdy, reliable, and they hold up very well. They hold alot of things neatly. Also, you can put these up as two seperate shorter units for the inside of cabinet doors. I don't think you'll find a less expensive or a more handy storage setup. I bought this despite other reviews talking about quality and design, but I never planned to hang it over the door, so I didn't think it would matter. I have this screwed directly into the back of our pantry door for extra storage and although it serves its purpose, the $23 price tag is way too much for its quality. The wire gauge on this item is mediocre at best - the shelves came slightly bent and warped, which isn't surprising given the wire gauge. Some of the wires are comparable to the thickness of spaghetti - not very sturdy or resilient.
If the item was below $15, I'd have been more forgiving, but for the current price tag of above twenty dollars, it's just not worth it if you can find something comparable elsewhere. I had trouble finding this simple item anywhere else, so I settled for this one.

I am TOTALLY dissatisfied with this product!! It looks good in the picture but when you get it you start to wonder about your purchase. At least I did. The rack isn't very sturdy. I hung it on the back of my pantry door and put some canned goods along with some boxed items on the rack. Just a couple of days afterwards when I decided to rearrange the order in which I had my items on the rack, the "hook" part that fits over the door almost completely straightened out and the whole rack almost hit the floor. It would have had I not been right there to catch it and then the couple of small jar items would have broken when it hit the floor.
I do not recommend this rack to anyone who really wants extra storage area for your grocery items. Spend more and get a better quality rack that WILL hold your items.

The rack does come in two separate parts that are hung together with hooks. The rack hooks over the door with two wide hooks that are not mounted to the door in any way. I did use the hardware to mount the rack to the door so that it would not swing freely. The only thing that disappointed me about the rack is that it would not hold can goods as the description stated. It is not very sturdy when I started to place can goods on the shelf the wires would start to bend if I put more than three cans per shelf. I ended up putting mainly snacks and more light weight items on it. I think that it is a very good rack for the money that you spend on it.
