I purchased this product for my daughters room. The size and color is perfect. Putting the item together was extremely frustrating and time consuming. It's one of those awkward--by the time you slide the right side in place the left side pops out--sort of things. After I had successfully restrained myself from throwing the thing out the door, I noticed that I was missing several pieces. I only had enough connectors to complete 11 cubes. And I was missing a couple of the side pieces as well. I did not want to return the product because I had already put my blood, sweat and tears into it, so Amazon said they would just ship me another one and I could take the parts I needed and send it back. I was very pleased with the way Amazon handled this. I like the finished product, but I think building one from scratch would be easier than putting this together.Customer Review: Small and unstable--and arrives dirty!

All the pieces of this shoe organizer were dusty and dirty coming out of the box.
Although the picture of the unit shows shoes sitting neatly side-by-side, unless you have child-sized feet, you'll be stuffing shoes in on their sides. And your workout shoes? Each individual shoe will need its own compartment.
The unit fits together with little connectors that look ingenious but are really really really annoying to use. They're hard to snap together and aren't very stable, so that as you try to snap pieces onto the unit, the parts you've already assembled keep coming apart. It took forever to put it together, and I wouldn't dream of trying to take it apart to put it together in a different configuration.

I've been using this product for a few months now & I'm quite pleased. It was a lengthy process to put together (about an hour) but it wasn't hard or confusing, just time consuming. It's customizable, so you can use it for boots & such also. I wear a US size 7 1/2 to 8, womens & the slots are plenty big enough for my shoes. For sandals, I was able to get two pairs of shoes in each slot. For regular shoes, such as tennis shoes & business shoes, one pair fits fine. The top is flat, so you can store an extra row of shoes on top also. For a closet, setting it sideways, where you have six shoes across & three down works better than setting it the way it's shown in the picture, with six down & three across.Customer Review: Flimsy poorly designed shoe-cubby

Pros: nice color, quick shipment, easy return shipment. Customizable shape, I suppose.
Cons: flimsy! The colored panels are actually thick plastic film. Ridiculous design: the wire rectangles are supposed to go into white connector corners and the whole thing is incredibly wobbly any way you put it together. Even after we put several cells together there were huge gaps between the wire frames. Maybe they were meant to be left for ventilation but overall the cubby looked like an unprofessional, cobbled-together homemade device. Too bad! I sent it back (thanks Amazon!) and will look for a different shoe storage arrangement.

Absolutely love these! I made my own design and definitely fits all types of shoes. Booties are about the biggest shoes that can fit, definitely not full length boots. They took a while to put together and need some padding on your hands in order to push the pieces together, however, they are really easy to assemble. Also, when picking up the mass of shoe cubbies, it never fell apart. I highly recommend this product and its durability.
