After reading several of the negative reviews, I wasn't sure I wanted to order this; but a few positive reviews changed my mind. I found this to be well-designed and to have more space than most other shoe storage units. Assembly is challenging; but well worth the time. I'd recommend using a rubber mallet/hammer for tapping the connectors into the proper position. It took me about half an hour to assemble the unit and I've had no problems. If you're looking for something that's already assembled, don't buy this. But if you're reasonably handy, it's well worth the effort.

Ok, so I don't think it's God's gift to an organizer, but it gets the job done. It was very painful on the hands. It's not as fragile as it may look (which is good), but it is a hassle to put together, and my husband and I were losing our patience with it. We ordered two, and gave up after the 1st one. I haven't assembled the other one yet, because I know I'll have to explode again. But it does work, and it keeps my daughter's shoes off the floor in a tight space where this organizer is extremely convenient and useful. We had already set up two of these (combined into one big, tall unit), and they are an excellent solution. I have not been able to find anything else like them in looks or in offering such versatility when it comes to configurations. It is an excellent product, but you just need to be prepared for assembly to take quite a while and have a rubber mallet on hand. As long as you put on a movie or a good TV show and settle in, the assembly time will not be an issue. If you find that part of a plastic connector cracks, it does not matter as everything still holds together.Customer Review: WAY Overpriced

I would say... if you're rich go ahead and buy this. If you're looking to save money - but something else that will hold shoes. This was one expensive shoe holder (i got 2 - found 1 downstairs in the trashcan of the apartment complex I'm in). Overall - not worth $30

This is the best system for organizing shoes. I bought this to get my shoes organized and it is great. However, I am glad that I wasn't planning on putting my husband's shoes in this too because they DO NOT fit. He wears size 10-11 and only one shoe would fit per cube. My shoes fit nicely though. Like the other reviews state, this is very time consuming to put together, but I feel like it was worth it. Once assembled, it is very sturdy. I liked that you can configure this how you want. It fits my space perfectly because I was able to build it the way I wanted.
