I bought this filter based on the numerous reviews on this site. I have well water and a lot of sulfur despite a water softener and carbon filters. Typical store bought filters did not remove the smell. The unit is easy to install. Do not overtighten it. Use a bucket to catch the first 2 gallons of water without the filter head bc it will come out black. If you have a well you may need to increase your well pressure bc this filter will slow it down some. Overall very pleased. I noticed my shampoo lathered much better so less is needed.I have only owned it one day. Spend the money and try it! Don't forget to fill out the warranty card within 100 days of purchasing it.Customer Review: Filter is sub-par

This filter did not work at all in my shower. I'm on a well system and have more than adequate water pressure, but no water could find its way out of the shower head after I installed it - instead it leaked out of the screw-on unit that holds the charcoal. The charcoal dribbled on the outside of the unit and made a huge mess all over the shower. I uninstalled and re-installed the unit multiple times thinking I had done something wrong. Nope - a plumber friend checked it out and said the installation was correct.
I returned the filter to the vendor after a major hassle to get a return authorization number that took several months.

After much research on the Internet, I came to the conclusion that this unit from Zoe Industries is the best bang for the buck. Having used a cheaper unit from one of the big name hardware stores and finding it totally inadequate, we purchased this unit through Amazon.com. It came with a new adjustable showerhead that puts out a wonderful spray pattern. The unit was easy to install and we no longer detect any smell of chlorine in the water. The replacable cartridge is an easy twist task without tools. I'm confident it will last as long as any unit in or even above it's price range. NO MORE DRY ITCHY SKIN!!! I've changed out shower heads all by my little lonesome uncountable times over the years. I cannot get this attached without it leaking at the connection to the pipe and what appears to be a leak where the housing screws on on the unit itself. That said, I still have reasonable water pressure and here's the amazing thing, my relatively coarse hair is no longer coarse without putting any number of silicone products on it. Who knew that for all my life, it was the water, not my hair. My skin is not as dried out...if I could work out the little glitches, it would be perfect. I own the counter top unit in the kitchen and it's fab for the price!Customer Review: Aquasana is a great product.

After three years of using Aquasana filters i am still very pleased. I have never had a plastic crack because my water pressure isnt high, but its not low either. I never smell or taste chlorine when i shower and the fact that it is large means its a heavy duty filter that lasts a long time.
I am single and it lasts me almost a year or more. Also i have a flimsy shower pipe and it has held up fine, i just cant hang a caddy on it too. Ive seen people trying to say all sorts of bad things but they just dont hold up to the ultimate reason to buy this filter. It does what it is designed to do and well.
