Water was shooting out the side of this where the filter attaches to the mount. It was really just too much after a while. I had to hang a towel over it to stop the water from spraying everywhere. I called aquasana and they told me to try the black rubber band that goes between the filter and the housing. I purchased one, tried that, but it only seemed to make the spraying worse. With the high filter cost and constant sideways spray, I've decided to give up on this. Maybe I'll try another brand. I like the idea of bathing in purified water. Just too bad this one was not made very well.Customer Review: Terrible

My hair had been turning orange do to the water where I live. I bought this to help filter out some of the rust or iron. I noticed no change in my skin or hair. Plus, it leaks, terribly. I've tried every trick in the book and it still leaks. It also emits the filtering residue every time I turn it on, even though i followed directions on letting it run when first installed. Kind of embarrassing to tell guests to turn on the water first, make sure it clears, then get in the shower. Not only would I not recommend this to a friend, I wouldn't even admit I spend the money on something so cheap.Customer Review: Poor Product

This product does the exact opposite of what it claims. Instead of removing chlorine and leaving your skin healthier and softer, it actually left a white residue on my skin! After two showers, I decided the product was not healthy for me.
When I asked for a return authorization, the aquasana store reneged on it's 30 day return policy, and stated that it only accepted a return within just FIVE days.
Also, if your unit is defective, they will not cover return shipping costs. YOU foot the bill if they send you something defective.
Let the buyer beware.

I had a wellness shower filter and loved it! My hair was silky, shiny and soft and I even stopped having to moisturize my skin.......but sadly Wellness went out of business. So I read some reviews, which I now think must be fake, because this is the WORST filter ever! My skin is dry and my hair color fades out so fast it's crazy. My hair has been a dry, brittle mess ever since I started using this filter. I even noticed my dog's hair felt dry after giving them a bath with this filter.......PLEASE bring back the wellness filters! I miss my shiny hair and great skin!Customer Review: Leaky Seal

Aquasana AQ-4100 Deluxe Shower Water Filter System with Adjustable Showerhead Filter seems to do as advertised but the seal on mine leaks so bad I had to remove it. I tried to find a replacement seal at Ace with no luck. It's a big unit and difficult to fit into place. Still size would likely be an advantage for longevity and filtering capability if it weren't for the leaky seal. Mine was likely faulty manufacturing due to some rough surfaces inside around the seal.
