I purchased one for myself and one for my daughter. Both required replacement parts within one month of use (mine twice). Leakage has also been a constant problem. Now that the warrantee is expired, I have an unrepairable item that will require replacement of the entire unit. Under warranty coverage Aquasana promptly sent the parts out, nevertheless, the use of flimsy plastics has become a part the engine that keeps our economy fluid at the cost of environmental peril (production of harmful chemical pollutants and no way to properly recycle). I would love to see a product that sells for 10 times the price, but that lasts a lifetime. All showers filters are thusly manufactured and so Aquasana is the lesser of many evils.Customer Review: Not a good filter

My wife and I bought an Aquasana water filtering system a few months ago and I must say that it has not been a good experience. In fact since then I have decided to avoid anything from Aquasana. The device is not well made. Changing the filters is very difficult because the plastic nut that must be loosened and tightened is hard to grasp and tends to strip. After two filter changes our unit is useless because of this cheaply made soft plastic nut. Within a few weeks the unit leaks and the shut off valve stops working automatically. It sticks in the open position and must be closed manually. Recently we purchased another system from Puritec and have been much happier with it and with the service that the company provides.Customer Review: Aquasana Shower Filter

We have installed and used our Aquasana shower filters for many years. I recommend this brand to everyone I know especially if they are thinking about adding a water filtration system.
You will find that your hair and skin feel so much softer. It removes unwanted chemicals including chlorine or flouride among many others while leaving the trace minerals that we all need.
Our child wouldn't leave for college without her shower filter that she installed in the college dorm. The other suite mates have been amazed by how nice their hair and skin feels.
We can always tell when we are visiting elsewhere how much we miss our Aquasana products. I highly recommend this system above all others.

Aquasana factory direct discounted and water-for-life program totals $110...so same diff on above list price for shower head and 2x filters. However, the quality is what is most important. Aquasana systems and filters are rated #1 Best Buy in Consumer Digest. Our family has been using the shower filter for a number of years both in the city and the country. It is effective in filtering both city water (chlorine) and/or well-water (iron). It works equally well with both hard and/or soft water. Easy to install and maintain. Replacement filters average less than $8/month... worth every penny! Thanks to Aquasana's shower filter our family's health has improved in numerous ways. I chose to use a shower filter, after learning about chlorine hazards and that our skin is the biggest sense organ to absorb them. I chose aquasana because a friend said he was recommended the same for hair loss. Well I thought I do not have hair loss, but lets go with it. The first day, I took a head bath. And I was SURPRISED. I was not even aware that all these years the hair which I used to loose during shower was NOT normal. Only now I realise OMG how much hair I have lost !!. I used to have big amounts of hair loss during shower, this I came to know when there were only 3-4 strands of hair during shower with this filter.!!!. And yes, I do see a change in skin too. Thank you so much guys.
