The part arrived on time. Before I installed the part, I searched youtube with my ipad to see if there were any instructional videos. When I found one, I viewed the video as I was replacing the part. It took me about 15 minutes. I saved a lot of money :)
This is the first time I worked on a washing machine. I recommend that you watch one of these videos before you start. The Whirlpool replacement parts manual doesn't show how to take apart the control panel. Swinging away the control panel was the most difficult part. Our Whirlpool washer model number is lsn2000jq2. On this model, there are 2 phillips head screws on the back of each end of the control panel. Once the screws are removed, the control panel swings up and out of the way.
The Whirlpool website has a parts manual for all of their washers.
