I ordered this model because it was rated for fluorescent bulbs used in my porch light. After a few months, the light would not turn on automatically. The Swylite rep was really good about exchanging my switch for a new model, so I guess the older one had a know problem.
Description of Ivory Swylite LST100 Digital Wall Switch Timer
The LST100 provides quiet, accurate electronic timing for control of lighting and motor loads within the home, and can reduce energy costs significantly. Just set the timer and go, you will never leave the lights on again. The LST100 can also serve as an anti-theft deterrent by giving a home a lived in look while homeowners are at work, school or away on vacation by turning lights ON and OFF at preset or variable intervals. The timer is designed to provide cost-effective lighting and appliance control anywhere inside or outside the home and installs easily in single or multiple-gang wall boxes. The LST100 is 100% state-of-the-art, has no motors or gears to hear or break, never need batteries (no hidden costs), has Set & Forget memory, is easy to install and can be programmed in less than 5 minutes. It also has an automatic Variable Mode to discourage intruders and incorporate internal self-protecting surge voltage protection against most power spikes, outages and lightning strikes. The LST100 also has a unique Delayed-OFF feature that can keep the light or fan ON while exiting the house or room and automatically turns the light or fan OFF without any user-programming or automatic timer setting interference. There is no need for any additional programmed ON/OFF cycle to turn the light OFF, it's automatic. The LST100 control loads from 1 - 625 watts and will control most low watt CFL & LED bulbs effortlessly. Rating: 110-125 VAC, 60 Hz, neutral line required. Load: 15 Amp Resistive, 5A Inductive, 625 Watts Incandescent, 1/2 HP motors. Internal Surge Protection: Self-Protecting against 1000 V Transient Voltage Spikes.
