I needed a way to automatically switch my porch light on at night, and off during the day. I gave up trying to wire-in a photosensor to light. This product accomplishes what I need. It's a nice, high quality switch. It's easy to install and and easy to set the timer. The switch works with my compact flourescent bulbs, as advertised. Shipping from Swylite is very fast. As others have noted, the only (minor) drawback is how the wires are attached on right of the unit, rather than the back. This can make for a tight fit depending on your electrical box. I'm very happy with this switch and highly recommend it.

Replaces standard wall switch to provide automatic control of outdoor or indoor lighting, fans, and appliances. Works with compact fluorescent lamps, to assist in conserving energy and saving money. Fits in single or multi-gang junction boxes and wall plates. Is easy to install, program and operate. Use with decorator-style wall plate (not included). Can be used in a single or 3-Way switch operation. Streamlined, low profile mounting for a convenient sleek look. Large, easy to read LCD clock and readout. Single ON/OFF event timer provides ease of use. Internal battery backup never needs replacement. Set & Forget, real time is protected against power failure by internal battery backup. The screen is blank during a power outage. Programmed Times are permanently stored in system memory. Easy to see and use, manual rocker style override switch. Built-in surge voltage protection. Manual On-Demand delayed OFF feature requires no programming. Variable mode will discourage intruders. Supply Rating: 110-125 VAC, 60 Hz, neutral line required.
