Tools and Hardware Reviews of Swylite LST100-W Single Event Digital In-Wall Timer Switch, White

Customer Review: Works great.
Summary: 5 Stars

I installed one of these in July, 2006 (about a year ago now), and I have been extremely pleased with the results.

It has been very reliable, and has worked flawlessly with my outdoor lighting. As a plus, it looks great. I use it with traditional CFLs.

It was very easy to install. However, if you have a tight switch box, it will take some pushing and juggling, as it is physically bigger than a three-way switch. However, since the LST100 was my replacement for a non-CFL-compatable wall timer, it was just a drop-in for me.

Customer Review: Just right.
Summary: 5 Stars

The LST100 solved my problems with outdoor cfls controlled by an indoor timer switch. The thing works great, wasn't hard for me to install, and has exactly the right feature set. Swylite's delivery was prompt as well. Now I wish Swylite would make a motion sensing switch that turns the lights on when someone comes in range so I can put cfls in my garage as well. Don't know why the major chains in my area don't stock cfl capable devices since most of their standard bulb stock is now cfl. Hope they catch on soon!

Customer Review: Snap to install, program, and it works with CFL
Summary: 4 Stars

Took less than 30 minutes to replace my X10 timer. I replaced my lights
with CFL to save energy but found my X10 doesn't work with CFLs.
I must say though that my Radio Shack X10 was 10+ years old and was still
working great. Anyway, the instructions are clear for 3-way switch and
it is simple to program. It works fine with CFLs. I have 4 CFLs which
are 9 watts each that are controlled by this timer. Yes it is a tight
fit but not impossible. I hope it is built to last.

Customer Review: Works great, a little tight to install
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had mine running running the porch light on my garage for about two years now and I haven't had any problems.

My only complaint was that the wires come out the side of the unit near the back, thus if it is going into a single box, it will be a tight fit. I put mine into a double gang box along with a regular switch for the interior garage lights. Because of this, I could only put the swylite on one side of the double box and not the other.

Customer Review: Good product for CFL control
Summary: 5 Stars

The Swylite LST100 solved my problem--a security porch light that had a 100watt equivalent CFL light in it. The device works flawlessly and reliably. It is easy to set if you have the instructions--and if you lose them, like I did they can be downloaded on their website (I traced the brand by my Amazon account history). In short, I'm very happy with the unit. Does the job competently and reliably.
