Customer Review: Awesome little light

I will make this one short and simple... I love this little light!
I gave these to all the men in our family for a "stocking stuffer" 2 Christmas's ago. They all love them, and I have had request from the women in the family for them this year.
They are small and easy to have around anywhere, but put out a VERY bright and powerful light. We have bought several more for around our house. We do not use the sticky back normally, we just keep them in spaces where you might need a light occasionally. We both keep one in the glove box of our car. It makes a perfect emergency light for the car and is small and compact. When our second child was born, we stuck one on the top of our microwave. This way we could go in during the night and click it on and be able to see the numbers on the microwave timer, without having to turn on all the kitchen lights. (Thus, our older child did not wake up and think it was morning. No, our oldest does not sleep in the kitchen, we have a very open floor plan, and all the rooms are off the kitchen/living room) The kids love them and we have put one on the back of the console in the car, so that they can have light in the back seat when we are on the road at night. It is so much nicer than having to drive around with the interior lights on.
I would highly recommend these to everyone. One caution... do not buy the cheap knockoffs you see at some stores. They only have one light bulb compared to 3 in this light, so they are not nearly as bright. For the price, these little lights are just amazing and we have found so many uses for them. We have 7 of them and have only replaced the batteries in one, so they last a really long time also.
Off to order some for the women of the family!
Customer Review: Not So Convenient After All: Difficult to Change the Batteries

This is a great little light--while it works. I put it under my desk (where my legs go) so I can see all my electrical wires, power cords and outlets. It illuminates the little space just fine, but I was *highly* disappointed when I realized that it's a pain in the tuckus to change the batteries on this thing! I thought it would be some kind of twist mechanism in which the base stays on the surface and you just twist the top part off. After that didn't work, I went to the hardware store to look at the packaging to see if it had instructions. It didn't (no surprise there), so I asked an employee, and he said you have to yank it off the wall. I went home and tried and tried and it wouldn't come off. For something that claims to be so convenient and easy, it was not very convenient at all.
Then, when i finally managed to pull it off somehow, I learned that you have to UNSCREW three little screws (slightly larger than screws for eyeglasses) in the back to get the back off! Unbelievable. And then, it was pretty tough to separate the parts! It was only when I accidentally dropped it that the back came off to expose the batteries. Luckily it takes 3 AAA batteries (and not those watch-type batteries), but it's just hard to believe that for something so little and simple there would be so much involved in changing the batteries!
Sylvania should really redesign this thing so the batteries are easier to change. For the functionality, I rate this little light a 5, but because it's a real pain to change the battery, my rating goes down to a 3.
Customer Review: Perfect fit for our IKEA furniture!

Finally! A light solution for all our Ikea furniture pieces we put together. In their showroom, they always had their light kits inside them and we have always wanted that effect for our stereo cabinet, bedroom shelves and kitchen shelves. We bought one of those light kits, and what a pain in the neck to install for the average person - and it's electric. This product was the answer. Easy to use, battery operated, sticking them everywhere - they have made beautiful illuminations wherever needed. In the bedroom we have them behind the shelves of our bed, and they are perfect at night to add just enough light for us, but not to wake our baby. I never expected to cook with these lights or put together a jigsaw puzzle..... I knew from the product description that these lights were not for that purpose. They are for little detailing like shelves, cars. And they are perfect for the lifesized playhouse we have in our basement - now our daughters have light! I bought two bulbs in the beginning of Oct. One of them is not working all right, specifically with the on/off function. It cannot be turned off without pulling the bateries out.
Here is my experience with their customer service. So I contacted the customer service and did get reply the next day, who claimed to send me a replacement after receiving my address. I replied with appreciation and my address. After 3 weeks, I received nothing. Then I send another email request. After 1 week, nobody replied. Then I sent my third request last week. No responce. What makes me disappointed is not the bad bulb, but the guy who made the "false" promise.
The one star is for the working bulb, which is what I wanted for my bathroom. The light is not bright, which is good for me at night. But I did find similar products at CVS for 3 bulbs that only cost half of the price I paid for this products (including shipping fee).
Customer Review: Great for closets that don't have lights

I ordered a few of these for my daughter as she enjoys lights and decorating. They are simple to hang up and have the 3M technology as far as adhesive goes so can be removed from the wall/closet/desk without leaving any residue. You can also replace the sticky just by getting a sheet of the 3M command strips. The battery also looks easy to replace though ours is still going so I'm not sure. We also haven't dealt with any burnt lights but I'm thinking it'd be cheaper/easier to just replace the whole thing!
This comes in many colors so can match any room if you're putting these in the open. They are easy to push to use and are surprisingly bright for being so small. They light up a closet very well. After buying 2 different colors separately and receiving them, I ended up ordering a pack of 5.
