While it's not going to light up your closet, the Sylvania Dot light has solved one problem for me. At night, in my Toyota, I could never see the button to lock the doors. I stuck the Dot Light the only place I could, an awkward angle, but it gives enough light that with one touch I can quickly turn it on and find the door locks or any other buttons on the door I need. In this vehicle, only the driver window button is highlighted at night. I don't know if in summer's heat the Dot Light will stay up, but for the past month I've done well in the mild winter, with temps only down to the low teens.Customer Review: Works well, but not very bright

This little stick on lamp works as advertised, but if you're looking for something to read by or light a closet, this won't do the job. It would be great for lighting up a drawer or small niche, but that's about it. With three led's, I am a little dissapointed in the amount of light it casts.
Like most LED's, the illumination is a blue-white color. On-off switch works well, and adhesive holds very well. I haven't tried moving it, so I can't vouch for the claim that it can be relocated easily.
Not bad for $5 or $6, but not worth the retail price.

What a great idea for a stick-up! Unfortunately, this item "smells" too. The Sylvania DOT-ITs stick where ever you put them, but if you really want to use the led light to "see" something; forget it. Put two of these little guys in a dark closet, and it doesn't even illuminate the shelf.
If you want to light up something dark, bigger than a tackle-box, get an electric light. The LEDs don't cut it. The price is right, its just too bad the DOT-ITs can't do what they promise.

This product works exactly as described. Brightness is amazing for such a little lamp which is battery operated. I don't think that u should spect stadium lights from this, but for closets or as a flashlight it is more than enought. Keep in mind that this is not a fluorescent lamp, so light flows in streamlike form (focused mainly directly in front), so don't think u'll get a large area iluminated directly. It'll be great if they would advertise the dimensions of the lamp, but size is confortable enough.Customer Review: Perfect for dark entry way

I've been using the Dot It for a year. I put it up on my inside front door because the foyer has no light or heat, so I needed something that could stand up to some extreme temps. It works like a dream. Enough light to see the keyhole, find my keys and to see the black cat if he's sneaked out. The batteries are still going strong, and it has survived sub-zero temps and over 100 degrees with no problem. This is not a reading lamp, it is a little light, but if that's what you need, it's perfect!
