At last! A timer that works. It actually goes on and off at the time set; not before or after. Easy to setup, works great and a real bonus: it is QUIET! I will never use another mechanical timer again. You definitely get what you pay for with the Sylvania SA130. I used this timer for 9 months and was very happy with it. Then, upon returning from a vacation, found that it hadn't been working while I was gone. The display was messed up and I couldn't get it operating again for more than a day. I need a timer that I can rely on when traveling. This one is going in the trash.Customer Review: Easy to program

I wanted an inexpensive, efficient light timer. Found this product to be both. Have been using it about a month and no problems. Easy to program and just plug it in. I ordered 6 of these. 5 worked and one was DOA. The timer is simple enough to setup and use but the included batteries on every one failed within a week. Best timer I've seen.
Nice features not on all timers:
+ extra unswitched outlet
+ daylight savings time switch
+ when you push on the front cover - switches power on/off.
I bought a bunch of them.
