All that arrives is a small box - two plastic pieces that you snap together, then hang this up and add your ties! It is a super little idea - my husband has lots of ties but had no good storage solution. We looked at those motorized racks but found poor reviews and bulky unattractive racks! As this item had good reviews on Amazon we thought lets try it, for $5 and some change it cannot hurt - and we returned to buy more!
This holds 20 ties with no problem, spins so you can get to the tie you want, and hangs up on a closet rack taking up very little space while offering a simple, yet effective means to hang, organize and access ties.
Its one of those simple little ideas that works so well!

I needed a tie rack that held a decent amount of ties, that was easy to use and that didn't take up much space in my limited size closet. This tie rack met all these criteria. It's just a simple piece of plastic that spins, and when I first saw it I thought that $10 (with the shipping) was just too much to pay for something that probably cost 25 cents to make. But since what I got was totally functional in every respect, I have to give props to the inventor and manufacturer for designing and building such a clever device. I would have given it 5 stars if it was manufactured with better materials, perhaps with a better (metal) spinning mechanism.Customer Review: The Best Tie Rack At Any Price

I bought this for my husband who I forced to take a day job after a decade as a struggling artist. As an artist, he had accumulated a very nice collection of beautiful ties. Now he would have a chance to wear them on a daily basis. He is very discerning, especially when it comes to home organizing items. He loves this tie rack because: It holds 20 ties neatly and compactly in our limited New York apartment closet space; it is designed to work well under a full load -- still spinning nicely when full; you can see all the ties at the same time to choose one. Picked one of these up recently, and I'm pretty happy with it. These fit my (standard width) ties pretty much perfectly, takes up a fraction of space and is more accessible than most tie racks.
A few very minor complaints: getting the two pieces to snap together in the first place took a bit of pressing, probably would work best using a flat surface to push against. Second, because of its design, the unit will list one way or the other if unbalanced, but the hook is deep enough that it won't fall off your rail.
With a low price, sturdy construction, and clever design, this is a good buy.

I like this product very much. Easy to hang ties, easy to see the ties you have, and easy to hang in the closet without taking up very much room. No need to remove the rack from the hanger to see what you have as all that needs to be done is spin the rack around. If you're like me and wear a tie every day, this a really a simple and convenient thing to have. I ordered 2, and it was just enough for all my ties. Good price for the items, but shipping is expensive. Buy this with another item to get the free shipping on the whole order. Don't get the fancy or motorized one; for this the simplier the better.
