My buddy and I needed to move a SONY 200 pound tube HDTV from the basement to the second floor. Base upon the products available, Teamstrap seemed to be the best choice.
PRO:
The straps that wrapped around our bodies did a good job of distributing the weight and felt comfortable.
CON:
The strap is too narrow. We were always fighting to keep the strap under the TV set from sliding away.
CONCLUSION:
After our experience, I don't think any product of this type could have helped us.
The weight of the TV was too much for the two of us. After the first flight of stairs, we were exhausted. We took the straps off. We placed cardboard underneath the 200 pound TV and slid it up the second flight of stairs.

It takes a little while to figure out where to insert your shoulder strap so that they'll be just the right length - more time than simply picking up the object you're moving. Too short and you have to bend over too far to lift - too long and you can't lift high enough. You get better with practice. We found that it was just too short to do my 7 foot couch (with two built-in recliners) - we had to bend over almost as much as simply lifting by hand. We just added an extender strap - one of my old military belts. It was surprisingly easy to balance any object. I liked it a lot and will be using it whenever the need arises. The guys carried washers and dryers with these like they were toys light and mobile. They allow full movement and stabilization with your hands as the weight is on your body via the straps. We got the idea for them from Home depots delivery team who wore them carrying in our new appliances and I ordered them for our guys to place the new appliances in our basement. They worked great! Got furniture and stuff to move around get yourself a set. You will be happy.Customer Review: Great product!!

This is the best 20 bucks I spent in a while. I am a petite woman who would never think of lifting heavy furniture without professionals involved. My husband and I were able to move all the furniture and heavy boxes from our two-bedroom apartment all by ourselves. The strap length is a bit of a problem in some cases, but my husband found neat tricks to make it work. All in all, one of the easiest moves I have made in a decade.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone moving themselves. Two people lifted the china cabinet and didn't even need to use hands. It saves energy and can help clear a room in a fraction of the time. Our stairs have a 90degree turn, and the straps were meant for carrying in a straight line. We did have to drop the straps, carry the piece a few steps, and then re-strap. It was still a lot better than lifting the thing the whole way.
