I highly recommend this product. I live in a part of southern California that was, for a very long time, was covered by orange groves. Ant colonies prospered. Today, the ants act as though this is still their territory. I've used insecticide sprays in the past. This year, my 2-year old granddaughter lives with me. I don't want to use poisonous fumes around her. In addition, this year's onslaught had a bizarre twist. Ants started appearing in the bathroom. They proceeded to my bedroom--and my bed. I don't want poisonous fumes around where I sleep, either. Just so you know, I do not eat in bed. After one night of being afraid to sleep in my bed, I went online to see "how to get rid of ants." I found a website that mentioned this product. I am impressed. As mentioned in earlier reviews, the ants love this bait. They could not get to it fast enough. In two or three days, the ants were gone from the bathroom, but not from my room. I was ready to replace my first batch of baits, but was unable to locate them in any local stores. I picked up a pack of Combat ant baits to use while I continued my search, and placed them near the Terros. The ants ignored the Combat product. They climbed over the Combat traps to reach the Terro baits. Once I had my fresh Terro baits, I placed traps to lure the ants away from my bed frame. I found a 6" length of baseboard where the ants were entering and exiting my room. A bait on each side of the path put an end to the trail. All together, it took about a week before all the ants were gone. I have not seen an ant anywhere in my home for several days. I bought enough Terro baits for the next attack. I am ready. One thing to remember: Terro traps do not work like the poisons that kill on contact. Patience is required to allow the baits to do their work. The trade off between time and poison is worth it to me.Customer Review: No ants in less than 6 hours!!!

I was thinking I would have more time to take video to put up a video review but the little guys after 30 minutes had a 2 foot assembly line to their death. That was at 11:30pm the traps were placed near the power outlet in the kitchen we had seen them around at 11:00pm, I went to bed and woke for work at 6am and I didn't see any ants. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed, watching them work was so fun while it lasted... I had 8 combat ant traps out for the last 3 days and not one ant was seen going into them, a total waste of money, 1 Terro trap took care of all of them. They were little black sugar ants.Customer Review: If you think the ants are gone, keep the baits out longer

We have ants in our bathroom so I bought these baits at my local store and put out 3 of these baits. I came back a couple hours later to be horrified at the number of ants lining up to get this bait! 24 hours later, they were gone, so I removed the baits. This was a mistake. A day later a few of them were back. I ended up putting out 2 more baits (they do seem to prefer "fresh" baits) which ants came out of the woodwork to munch on. A few days later, they were gone for good. It's been over a week so I'm sure they're gone!
The Terro company says no harm will come to your pet if they happen to eat a liquid ant bait, but I still closed off the bathroom, didn't want to risk it.

Mama's 'Ant Ghostown' Recipe:
-1 Kitchen (ant swarmed, up to 3 weeks)
-13 NEW Terro Liquid baits
-1 Night's Try (preferably no hope left)
Mix all three ingredients at the same time and let set for 12 hours or more. When you see zero movement occur, Ant Ghostown is perfectly done!
(NOTE: Substitutions with Combat or Raid will not work with this recipe)

We see a few ants in our kitchen every spring, but this year there are many more. I don't like to spray unless it's warm enough to leave the windows open - I don't want to be breathing that stuff in a closed house. It hasn't warmed up enough yet, and we're tired of the ants, so I went looking for a solution other than spraying chemicals.
I bought the Terro traps after reading the reviews here. I put two of the traps in the cabinet under the sink; after about two hours, I saw a couple ants investigating them. After about 4 hours, the ant party was on. I swear they were trying to elbow each other out of the way so they could get into the trap. There was a "conga" line leading to and from the trap, where the ants were carrying their "treasure" back to their nest.
24 hours later, I haven't seen one ant in the house. I'm amazed.
This product performs even better than claimed.
