Customer Review: Works Better Than Expected - Recommended

The Tersano lotus LBU100 Sanitizing System has exceeded my expectations in many ways over the past 8 months of use. As a gardener and being somewhat health conscious, we always have a lot of fresh fruits and veggies in the house. I like keeping fresh fruit out for my kids grab in place of other less healthy snacks and it is reassuring to me that they are being protected from dirt, mold, pesticides, and bacteria.
The Unit sterilizes foods by using ordinary water infused with oxygen bubbles. I wanted to do a little testing my own so we cleaned a batch of strawberries in tap water and a batch in the Lotus System. The batch from the Lotus lasted a full two days longer without growing mold.
While I swear by the bowl, I don't use the spray bottle that much. To get the most out of this unit, new users should read the directions. The unit likes cold water best, so if you live in a warm area where cold tap water is in short supply (like my sister in Texas), you can put ice cubes in along with your fruit.
My only main complaints are that the capacity of the bowl could be larger and the dirty water sensor is very sensitive. Things like strawberries should be swished well in water before being placed in the unit or you might have to repeat the process.

I purchased the LBU100 in April '08. I did get the occasional F1 alert when processing strawberries and broccoli and had to process 3-4 times before clean. I was happy using the spray bottle for cleaning kitchen and counter tops as well as spraying furniture and dog beds but within 3 months I got an F4 which could not be fixed. I called Tersano and after trouble shooting over phone without success, they emailed me a return shipping label and sent me another unit (definitely refurbed - there were visible marks on bottom of base, although they insist the unit was not refurbed). The second unit lasted two months then went to the F7 alarm (voltage problems??) They sent me a third unit in February '09 (getting close to the warranty expiration!) which lasted 4 days (yet again with the F7 alarm). The CSR had me empty the unit and refill the spray bottle and press start while holding the front of the unit up in the air (?) to no avail. I was asked when I purchased my unit (April '08) and was told that there is no warranty on replacements (why not? they said the replacements aren't refurbed!) but since it was less than one week from last shipment they emailed me yet another label and I await my fourth unit but at this point I have zero confidence in the strength of this technology.Customer Review: Couldn't Live Without This

I use this product day in and day out. The cleaning water is amazing. I don't want to repeat what other reviewers have said, so I'll just add to what they've stated.
I would buy this machine just for the way it cleans my new granite countertops. There are NO sanitizing products which are safe to clean granite and marble. This water sanitizes and shines like nothing else. It feels clean and leaves no streaks or spots.
The cleaning water has removed spots from my carpet that I thought were permanent. My very light colored car upholstery looks great. Brake dust just dissolves and wipes away when sprayed with the charged cleaning water.
It cleans and sanitizes wood floors and tile like no other product. My floors feel clean and look great. No streaks and no chemical cleaners needed anymore!
My dog gets really smelly at times. Not to be gross, but, she has a problem with her hind glands. At times, she smells so bad--like nothing else on earth. Just a few squirts of cleaning water, saturate the area, and blot her fur with a towel--absolutely no more smell. I would never have believed how the awful smell just disappears. But it does! She doesn't require nearly as many baths or trips to the groomer now.
I just love this machine.

Being a person that likes to eat "the dirty dozen"...strawberries, apples, etc, I have learned that even store bought organic isn't as safe as we are led to believe. This product is simple to use. I just put in a batch of grapes and the indicator told me (F1) that I had to run it through 2 more times to make them safe to eat. Tersano, the Lotus manufacturer, states that if you get (F1) and rinse 3 times, the product will be safe to eat. (Even if you get the f1 after the 3rd time.) How do I know? The customer service people really take the time to explain the machine and you can ask a lot of questions.
Also, with the food incidents that we keep hearing about with lettuce, spinach etc. why risk it?
I use the sanitizer water to clean the kitchen, bathroom, door handles and light switches.
Additionally, I found the company representatives very helpful at providing guidance and product information. They were quick (at not cost) to replace a faulty unit and sent it to me with a shipping label. All I had to do was pop my other one in the box and UPS picked it up.
If this was "junk" of a "scam" I doubt that TIME MAGAZINE would have listed it as a "best investions 2006." That is for the reader to decide.

I love my Lotus! It really smells so fresh when my fruits/veggies/whatever are done. I use the sprayer for everything. When there's water left over from cleaning, I run around the house spritzing the curtains, the dog's bed, and the couch. Some people commented that it took a while to dry, but I haven't run into that issue. It seemed quick to me. But, I don't soak the stuff when I spray it. I've also been using it to clean my floors. I just spray and mop!
Some people said they got the F1 error as well as others. I'm beginning to wonder the IQ level of some of these folks who wrote bad reviews. It's never taken me more than a second look to find out what isn't on right or why something isn't reaching 100%. The system is simple.
The only experimetal cleaning I've done with it was with a clutch of mine. I stuck it in the bowl, and it came out looking and smelling clean (took it to a smoky place.) I highly recommend this to everyone! After reading some reviews, I see I've got some catching up to do to find out just what all this can do.
Also, don't be fooled guys that clean smells like lemons or orange peels. Too many Pine-Sol commercials have done that to you.
