Customer Review: Would not buy again

The heater does what it says. It heats the air and blows it out. However, the ammount of heat and air that the unit puts out is very small. The heater core in my truck went out going into the winter months, and I had issues with the windshield fogging over. I purchased this unit in hopes of it warming the cabin and clearing the windshield. It does neither. The heater is noisy, and after about 10 minutes it finally starts to clear a small section at the bottom of the windshield of interior fog. I have to use the fan in the defrost vents to get any real effect, but it's blowing cold air, and when it's 25* outside, that's no fun.
The unit also required me to hardwire a separate 12v outlet. The draw was too much for my truck's 15Amp standard cigarette lighter. I wired in 8AWG cable to a heavy duty marine 12V outlet and haven't had it pop the 50AMP fuse attached to that.
I bought it in the hopes that it would fix one problem, but it only caused another. It does put out a marginal amount of heat and air, which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.
