Tools and Hardware Reviews of Thomas & Betts RC3030D Extend-A-ChimeCustomer Review: Works as advertised. Easy to install. Couldn't be simpler. Summary: 5 Stars
Works as advertised. Easy to install. Couldn't be simpler. We have the bell receiver located in an addition about 50 feet from the transmitter. The signal has to go through two outside walls covered with aluminum siding (or it's bouncing through the house?). Works fine and solve our problem of not hearing the doorbell when working in that part of the house.
Customer Review: Ideal for Big Home Summary: 5 Stars
We could not hear our doorbell when we are upstairs particularly in the back of the house. This doorbell extender does exactly as advertised. We were able to extend our doorbell from the downstairs hallway to the upstairs bedroom approx 50 feet. The kids really like to alternate tones. Very easy to install - connect 2 wires. Works great.
Customer Review: My remote door bell Summary: 4 Stars
I have my office upstairs a long way from the basic door bell instalation. I never heard the bell until my husband installed the Plug-In Extend A Bell. As a writer constantly working on a computer, with the occasional interuption of my Fax machine or an important telephone call, I was very pleased to know when someone rang my doorbell.
Customer Review: Wow, simple install, Just works... Love it Summary: 5 Stars
I was amazed at how easy it was to install. 3 wires screwed into my dorbell. Clear directions with well marked wires. Took longer to get the screwdriver out than to hook it up. Worked first try. Kids were amazed by the tunes it could play (multiple selections). I now hear my doorbell in the basement family room! Love it.
Customer Review: Works if close Summary: 2 Stars
Works if within straight line of vision between sender and receiver. I've had it within 25 feet and still would only sometimes work. It's a great idea - if it would work consistently. I have 900mhtz phones plus wireless Internet so maybe one of those conflict.
