This lift is okay for light work, but the design is rather crude. Mine arrived with one of the welds broken. It doesn't fit together easily, either. The instruction book is worthless. And a couple of the parts simply don't work. I had to build some modifications onto it. If you need this for one job, it might be worth your money. But if you plan to use it over and over, do yourself a favor and buy a sturdier and more well-designed model.Customer Review: Save your back - and some bucks

The Platinum Tool 11-foot drywall lift is the tool for a quality job, saves your back, and really speeds along hanging ceiling and high-wall sheetrock. For working alone and putting in a long day to get the big job done, this is the perfect partner. The price at Discount Tommy's cannot be beat and even the shipping and packing were great. I Purchased this tool with reading all the reviews here, and I am very impressed. I have used other lifts in the past and this one seems to be just as sturdy. The price is also very sturdy. A drywall lift at Menards that I was also looking at was 300$ so thjis wasa no-brainer. Great product for the price. I was able to buy my own lift for about the cost of just over 2 weeks rental on the same thing locally, and I get to keep it! Item was just as described, only flaw was some broken plastic endcaps, but that appears to be a common problem and fixed easily with some tape. Puts together in about 10 minutes with just a few common tools. This is a must for the do it yourselfer doing drywall.Customer Review: Well worth the money

Works great!
Pros: does everything a drywall lift should do. It appears they have the box thing figured out... mine came in a double boxed carton.
Cons: The handle on the lifting mechanism uses a lock nut and if/when that nut backs off it catches the lifting wire. Minor I know but it took me awhile to figure out why the lift would not go up LOL.
I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!
