Customer Review: Not your typical Made In China POS

I wouldn't go as far to call this Professional grade, but it is certainly manufactured with tighter tolerances than we've come to expect from something bearing a Made In China label (ironically the various warning labels look like they were aimlessly adhered by blind people). It is ALL smooth operating; the casters, articulating legs, wheel crank, and extension arms all glide the best one could expect without the luxury of ball-bearings. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble when relocating it. It is stable and appears that it will easily provide many years of service.
Only two complaints:
1) There is no lock for the tilt position. This is a problem when drywalling a sloped ceiling. I ended up using a block of wood as a wedge to serve as an adequate tilt lock mechanism.
2) The threads for attaching the handle to the wheel extend through the opposite side about 3/4". When cranking, these extending threads would knock the frame of the lift. However, you can adjust the length of the threads if you have a big enough Allen wrench.
All in all, I feel I sufficiently got my money's worth and would probably buy the same exact lift if I was given a chance to do it all over again.
